21 Savage blasted for lackluster performance during Atlanta Hawks game

The Hawks had a good night. 21 Savage, not so much.

On Tuesday night at Philips Arena, Jay-Z kept the rafters shaking with his meaty beats and nimble rapping (read a review of the concert here).

Atlanta-based upstart 21 Savage didn’t have quite as much success during his halftime performance at the Wednesday night Atlanta Hawks game against the Sacramento Kings.

The 25-year-old performed two of his hits, “Rockstar” and “Bank Account,” but a combination of lousy sound and bad rhythmic timing turned the appearance – which was televised – into a muddy mess (check out the video below and decide for yourselves).

Social media wasn’t kind to 21 Savage, as the rapper was eviscerated by the court of public opinion with many saying in some form that it was the worst halftime performance ever at a Hawks game.

The organization has a solid track record with musical guests. The past few seasons have seen Atlanta-based stars including 2 Chainz, Guccie Mane, Monica and, most recently, Run the Jewels take the court to much acclaim.

Ah well. At least the Hawks routed the Kings, 126-80.

What a punk.  Looks like a drunk stumbling around with his pants down and mumbling nonsense.

How much did ATL pay 21 for that "performance?" He don't work cheap.
