Alison Krauss and David Gray team for tour coming to Atlanta

BY MELISSA RUGGIERI/AJC Music Scene

Alison Krauss and David Gray are combining musical forces for a 21-city co-headlining tour this fall.

The two artists will launch the outing Sept. 18 in Hershey, Penn., and visit Chastain Park Amphitheatre at 7 p.m. Sept. 30.

Krauss, the most decorated female artist in Grammy history, worked with Robert Plant in recent years, outside of her longtime collaborators in Union Station. In February, she released her fifth solo album, “Windy City.”

Gray, best known for his U.S. breakthrough hit “Babylon” in 1999, released a best-of collection in October and is currently recording a new album for release in 2018.

Ticket info for the concert will be available later this week.
