LOS ANGELES – In his gold mask, gloves and shimmery outfit, CeeLo Green blended in with the gilded trophies being handed out Sunday at the 59th annual Grammy Awards.
The only explanation for his bizarre outfit came – sort of – last week when he sent XXL Magazine a convoluted message that said:
“Look at me… LOOK AT ME! YOU DID THIS TO ME CEELO GREEN, YOU F****** IDIOT. BUT I LIKE IT, I’m actually…BETTER! Than you… than everyone! A karmikaze upon you! Vengeance is mine sayeth GNARLY DAVIDSON. P.S. TECHNOLOJESUS saves.”
The “look” is apparently part of the Atlanta musician’s new persona known as Gnarly Davidson. He has a new video (warning, it’s NSFW) at www.gnarly-davidson.com/ if you want to get a sense about this new …Project? Direction?
You have to give Green credit – he had absolutely no reason to be at the Grammys yet we’ll be talking about this goofiness longer than we will Adele, Beyonce and David Bowie.
