It didn’t take the Zac Brown Band long into the new year to announce an ambitious schedule.

The Atlanta-based country superstars will launch the 40-plus date Welcome Home tour with a pair of shows at Verizon Amphitheatre in Alpharetta May 12-13.

In addition to playing a slew of amphitheaters, the band will also hit a few stadiums, including Wrigley Field in Chicago and Coors Field in Denver.

The tour will wrap in late August at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.

Tickets for the Verizon Amphitheatre shows are $39-$91 and will go on sale at 10 a.m. Jan. 20 at the venue box office, http://www.livenation.com and by calling 1-800-745-3000.

Members of The Zamily Fan Club can purchase tickets beginning at 10 a.m. Jan. 17, while Amex cardholders will have access to a pre-sale at 2 p.m. Jan. 17. Citi cardmembers will also have access to a pre-sale starting Jan. 17. Visit www.citiprivatepass.com for details.

In addition to their major tour, the Zac Brown Band is currently in the studio recording a new album called “Welcome Home.” Calling it a “return to their roots,” the band will unveil the new release on May 12. Every online ticket order will include a choice of a physical or digital copy of “Welcome Home.”

ZBB fans who plan to visit Nashville can also check out the band’s exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame through summer.
