Most musicians objected to the use of their music during Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, but don’t count Vince Neil among the aggrieved.
The longtime Motley Crue singer is set to perform at the Presidential inauguration in Washington, D.C. on Jan. 20.
Neil told Billboard that he was asked about his availability “months ago” and that he will perform with his own band. The rocker is slated to appear on the next season of “Celebrity Apprentice” with Arnold Schwarzenegger, which airs in January on NBC.
Neil said that he, his band and crew members submitted their passports and other pertinent information to the Secret Service before anyone knew who would win the election.
The singer wasn’t sure about what he will perform.
“I don’t know how long I have to play. I don’t know if the Republican Party says which [songs] to play and what not to do,” he told Billboard. “It’s a little ways out. I’ll have more information as time goes on.”
