Tegan and Sara
About a decade ago, the twin sisters from Canada transitioned from acoustic roots-folkies to indie rockers. In the past few years, Tegan and Sara have morphed into a couple of the most underrated pop stars in existence. Their 2013 album “Heartthrob” started the movement, which continues on their excellent eighth album, “Love You to Death,” released this year.

Fresh from her summer stint as host of the fun throwback show “Greatest Hits” with Arsenio Hall, the country darling is still riding the success of her 2015 debut, “The First Time,” which has spawned the No. 1 hits “Peter Pan,” “Dibs” and “Love Me Like You Mean It.” The album’s fourth — and final — single, “Yeah Boy,” hit radio last month.

To commemorate the release of their second holiday album, “A Pentatonix Christmas,” which arrived last month, as well as perform material from their self-titled debut of nonfestive material, the Texas quintet specializing in a cappella songs is hitting the road for more than a month on a tour that began Oct. 17.
