Garth Brooks is following up his CMA “Entertainer of the Year” nod with an 11th studio album.
“Gunslinger” will arrive on Nov. 25. Brooks says the title was inspired by watching quarterbacks who make “fast and fearless moves” (the new song “Pure Adrenaline” was used as the theme last weekend during CBS’ SEC Game of the Week).
The album’s first single, “Baby, Let’s Lay Down and Dance,” debuted at No. 19 on the Billboard Country Songs chart this week.
Brooks will perform with wife Trisha Yearwood at the CMAs, which air live from Nashville at 8 p.m. Nov. 2 on ABC. The couple will sing a medley of country classics.
Also new to the CMA performance lineup: Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Tim McGraw, Kacey Musgraves and Kelsea Ballerini.
They’ll be joined by previously announced performers Dierks Bentley, Eric Church, Maren Morris and Keith Urban.
